dreaming?

Other than the stupid but incredibly fun tradition of having the pool open by Easter Sunday, I tend to spend March dreaming about this scene...but 73 degrees on March 17th?  Stop dreaming and get the damn tiki bar open!  Okay....

today

Cleveland, Ohio -  today around 5:15pm (the Greyhound folks are a tad behind with the Daylight Savings Time thing).  It's a wonderfully weird art deco building that's pretty much what you'd expect sights and sounds wise.  I was shooting some architectural stuff inside when a loudspeaker announcement demanded I stop taking pictures.  Next thing you know a security guy was making me delete the shots from my CF card and saying "man, you don't want to be labeled no terrorist. That's serious stuff."  Indeed.  It's getting more and more difficult to be a photographer these days.

working my way back...

It's been awhile since I wrote consistently about music and I've missed it.  I'm not sure whether I was burnt out, bored by most new music, or just consumed by my cameras.  Whatever it was it was probably necessary to get away from it for awhile. I'd figured I said all I had to say on the subject matter at the time I sort of put it aside.  Maybe that's changed now.  I've started to muse and meander again over on my bangSheet blog (here) and so far it feels good. I finally feel like I have some stuff to talk about music-wise.  So, considering that the rock-crit thing is an all but dead art-form, it's time for me to wade back into those waters - for better or for worse.  At the least I hope I entertain a handful of folks.

This blog here, well I suppose its mine...about things other than the music and my photography (documented here and  my *not-so-safe-for-work* stuff here).  This will likely end up another one of those long forgotten, seldom posted upon relics that are scattered all across the dusty internet landscape.  But then again it may not...
